How we helped Shipt recover 446K keywords & $1M+ in revenue by making SEO a priority again.

Problem

At its peak in August 2023, Shipt commanded a competitive keyword presence of 375,000 keywords. But as new initiatives took priority, SEO fell by the wayside — and the foundation they'd built began to quietly erode.

By February 2025, that presence had collapsed to just 46,000 keywords — an 88% loss in competitive visibility. Post-click performance followed, and the internal narrative became a dangerous one: maybe SEO just isn't worth it.

Opportunity

What started as a competitive audit quickly revealed deeply rooted legacy issues — technical debt, content gaps, and structural problems compounding over time.
